外籍配偶、父母及未满18周岁子女来华探亲申请签证须知 中国公民和在中国具有《外国人永久居留证》的外国人的外籍配偶、父母及未满18周岁子女来华探亲，应当持L签证入境，在签证注明的停留期或有效期内停留，需超过期限在宁停留的，应向市公安局出入境管理处重新申请签证。 一、 签证申请 外籍配偶须提供婚姻证明；外籍父母须提供亲属关系证明；外籍子女须提供出生证明或亲属关系证明；探望华侨和港澳台居民须提供华侨或者港澳台居民在宁常住6个月以上的证明。境外机构出具的有关证明须经我国驻外使馆或者领馆认证。此类申请人可以根据需要申请有效期6个月或者1年以内的零次、一次、二次或者多次入境有效L签证，申请次数不限。 申请签证时，除提供上述证明外，还须提交下列材料： 1、 本人有效护照及L签证的原件和复印件； 2．临时住宿登记证明； 3．填写《外国人签证、居留许可申请表》，粘贴一张近期二寸半身正面免冠照片； 4．探望中国内地居民，还须提供亲属本地常住户籍证明或者实际在宁居住的相关证明及居民身份证； 5．探望华侨，还须提供亲属的中国护照及国外定居证明； 6．探望港澳居民，还须提供亲属的《港澳居民来往内地通行证》或者《港澳同胞回乡证》； 7．探望台湾居民，还须提供亲属的《台湾居民来往大陆通行证》或者《中华人民共和国旅行证》； 8．探望在中国具有《外国人永久居留证》的外国人，还须提供亲属的《外国人永久居留证》。 二、签证补办 持新护照的外国人申请补办签证，除上述所需材料外，还须提供下列材料： 1．因丢失护照领取新护照者，须提供公安机关出入境管理部门出具的护照报失证明或者外国驻华使馆、领馆照会； 2．因护照即将到期或者签证页用完等情况领取新护照者，须提供本次入境时所持护照； 3．在中国境内出生的、单独持有护照的外籍婴儿，须提供外籍婴儿的出生证明及父母双方的护照复印件。 三、注意事项 1．外国人申请签证，必须按照中国政府主管部门的有关规定缴纳费用。 2．持用L签证的外国人不得在华任职或就业。对在中国非法居（停）留或具有其它违法行为的外国人或责任人，公安机关将依法予以处罚。 3．上述可以申请签证的有效期及签证的入境次数，应以公安机关出入境管理部门最终批准的结果为准。 4．公安机关出入境管理部门有权依法拒发外国人签证、证件，对已发出的签证、证件有权吊销或宣布作废。 5、受理、审批、签发签证、证件需5个工作日。 南京市公安局出入境管理处 Notice to Foreign Spouses, Parents and Children under the age of 18 Visiting Relatives in China Those Chinese citizens and foreign spouses, parents and children under the age of 18 coming to China to visit their relatives who hold Foreigner’s Permanent Residence Permits in China should enter China with L-visa. L-visa holders must stay in China within the valid staying period specified on their visas. Those who wish to extend their stay in Nanjing should apply for another visa from the Exit and Entry Administration Division of Public Security Bureau. Ⅰ. Applying for visa Foreign spouses are required to provide marriage certificates. Foreign parents should provide kinship certificates. Foreign children must provide birth certificates and kinship certificates. Those who are visiting overseas Chinese or residents of Hong Kong, Macaw or Taiwan should provide documents that verify that the relevant persons to be visited can stay legally in Nanjing for over six months. Note: Documents issued to applicants previously by institutions abroad must be authenticated by Chinese embassies or consulates abroad. Applicants can apply for zero-entry, single-entry, double-entry, or multi-entry L-visas that are valid for six months or valid for one year from the Exit and Entry Administration Division of Public Security Bureau. They can apply as many times as they prefer. In addition to the above-mentioned required documents, applicants should also provide the following documents: 1. Applicant’s original and valid passport and L-visa, as well as copies of the applicant’s passport and L-visa; 2. Temporary Residence Registration Certificate; 3. Properly-completed Foreigner’s Visa and Residence Permit Application Form with a photograph affixed to the form. The photograph should be: l two inches in size l taken recently, showing current appearance l show full face and front view with a plain white or off-white background l taken in normal street attire (do not wear a hat or headgear that obscures the hair or hairline); 4. If you are visiting residents in Chinese inland regions, you should provide your relatives’ local permanent household registration documents or documents of your relatives’ actual residential places in Nanjing, and your relatives’ resident ID cards; 5. If you are visiting overseas Chinese, you should provide your relatives’ Chinese passports and documents of their permanent resident status abroad; 6. If you are visiting residents from Hong Kong and Macaw, you should provide your relatives’ Passes for Hong Kong and Macaw Residents Traveling to and from Inland Regions of Hong Kong or Macaw; 7. If you are visiting residents from Taiwan, you should provide your relatives’ Passes for Taiwan Residents Traveling between Mainland and Region of Taiwan or the Travel Documents of the People’s Republic of China; 8. If you are visiting foreigners who have Foreigner’s Permanent Resident Permits in China, you should provide your relatives’ Foreigner’s Permanent Resident Permits. Ⅱ. Re-applying for Visa In addition to the above-mentioned required documents, foreigners holding new passport and re-applying for L-visas should also provide the following documents: 1. If you hold a new passport because your previous passport was lost, stolen, or damaged, you should provide certificates of passports loss report issued by the departments in charge of administration of exit and entry under the public security bureaus or provide certificates issued by relevant foreign embassies or consulates in China; 2. If you hold a new passport because your previous passport was expired or your visa pages had run out, you should provide the previous passport that you used when you entered China; 3. For foreign infants born in China and holding separate passports, their parents must provide original birth certificates of the infants and copies of the parents’ passports. Ⅲ. PROVISIONS 1. Applicants must pay application fee in accordance with the relevant regulations of competent organs of Chinese government. 2. Foreigners holding L-visa are forbidden to work in China. The public security organs will impose punishment in accordance with law on those foreigners or responsible persons who unlawfully reside or stay in China or break law in China. 3. Applicants’ valid staying period and the total entry times should be based on the result of approval by the departments in charge of administration of exit and entry under public security organs. 4. The departments in charge of administration of exit and entry under public security organs have the right to refuse to issue visas and documents to foreigners in accordance with law, and to revoke the issued visas and documents or declare null and void. 5. The normal processing time, including accepting application, examination, approval, and issue of visas, is five business days.
